Back to hometown

On Friday after my result was released I'm off back to hometown.. leaving KL around 4p.m. On the way back, we got stuck in traffic jam near Behrang and Tg. Malim that cost us 1-2 hours.. Then later we had our dinner at Ipoh around 7p.m. wow.. no deny Ipoh is full of pretty girls.. everywhere you go, you will definitely see a pretty girl.. After our dinner, we leave Ipoh around 8p.m. and continue our trip to our destination.. Unfortunately we got stuck in the traffic jam again in Kuala Kangsar.. dam those troublesome traffic jams.. Finally we reach Taiping at 10p.m. and reach our house there around 10.10p.m. There my uncle family reach there first although we leave first than them.. this proof how slow my father is driving =S

After that, we went for supper as usual, finding the famous char kuey teow store and we hoping that the old woman will be cooking.. unfortunately she retired at the age or 80+ and her son took over again.. well her son cooking skill are bad actually but we were shock when we tried his char kuey teow.. it improved a lot compare to last time but it is not as good as his mother's char kuey teow.. yet we were glad it is still RM 1.50 PER PLATE!!! though there was only 11 of us there.. but we ordered 20 plates of char kuey teow.. what to do.. we can eat mar.. hehe..

After that, we went back home and all of us didn't bathe and went to sleep around 1p.m. I went to sleep around 1.30p.m. because cannot stand it alone in the dining room smsing that zhe rei.. ho ho.. sorry ar.. really scary lo that time alone so got to go early a bit sorry sorry..

Next morning my grandma wake us all up, me and my uncle's eldest son was the latest too wake up at the living hall.. We are known as "dai guai tao" by my grandma.. We have to wake up eventually because our grandma tempting us that if we go late we will never get to eat "lai fun" We woke up at 7.30a.m. everyone getting ready for breakfast.. After all of us are ready, we left the house around 8a.m. and head to Pokok Asam for breakfast..Due to the large number of use we have to find 3 separate tables there.. well.. there goes our eating habit.. 14 of us.. but 18 bowls of "lai fun".. we also bought some "siu yok", "yao char guai" and hokkien mee..

After that, we went to bought some DVDs because is dam cheap here 4 DVDs for RM10 and is super good quality too.. worth to buy as my grandparents went to buy some stuff at morning market there.. After everything done, we all went back and get prepare as we are heading to Penang.. We left our house at 11p.m. and on the way we drop by Tambun to meet up with other relatives to eat lunch at a restaurant name Prawn Village.. below are some pictures.. I didn't took much pictures because I really enjoy the food too much de.. Let me recall what we have ordered.. We ordered one steam fish, sweet 'N' sour flower crab with bun, shellsssss including la-la and "chi luo" fried bean sprout with salted fish, fried squid and more.. thats all I recalled..

After our lunch, we continue our trip to Penang and reach the Ferry port around 2p.m. Its been long I've never been to Penang since 3 to 5 years ago I think.. This the first time me and my relatives are on board on the second floor of the ferry.. too bad my family in the other car was downstairs ho ho... there are some pictures I took below in the ferry =)

After about 15 minutes ride on the ferry, we finally reach penang and our first pit stop will be CENDOL!!! We park our car quite far away from that famous cendol store due to those traffic jam. We walk all the way from the car park to the cendol store costing us about 20 minutes walk.. On the way walking there, we drop by a few shops for shopping. As usual in penang those shop sells stuffs in very very expensive price, therefore we always have to negotiate pricing with them.. how troublesome.. Next, we reach the cendol store found a place to sit.. yea.. we occupied 5 tables in the small restaurant.. AND darn.. I saw one pretty girl there.. She is sooooo sweet and pretty but.. sad.. she have a boyfriend already.. a minute later her bf finish his cendol and walk off leaving her alone.. weird.. 5 minutes later.. she finished too and walking off away.. there I go a chance to talk to her!! she left her umbrella there and I just went out to chase her by giving back her umbrella to her.. i just said "ms.. you left your umbrella inside" she replied shyly "owh.. thank you" and just walk off.. man should have ask for her hp number!!!

After finishing our cendol, my uncle and auntie sent my cousin, Kah Jun to the rasa sayang hotel there for part time job.. man he works only for 1 and half hour there and his earning RM500 for that plus buffet provided for his dinner.. lucky him.. The others of us walked back to the car park and head to Gurney Drive.. We walked along the beach for a while and notice there is a mini concert there as well organized by 8tv held at Gurney Plaze. Few superstar was there and one of my favourite.. is DANIEL LEE!!! he was there up close with me too.. I'm soooo happy for the first time i'm so close to one of my idol.. Daniel sang 2 songs.. one song is from the drama one liter tears and another song is mimpi.. wow.. he sang those two songs lovely..

After Daniel performance I went to join my relatives and family again for dinner. We ate "pai pai dong" near Gurney Plaza, so many food to eat but I tried the fried kuey teow there. Hmm.. honestly, Taiping's fried kuey teow still the best so far I've eaten. Nothing special about penang food, sometimes I wonder why people love penang food so much.. Come to Taiping and I'll show you whats the differences. After our dinner, my grandpa's sister's family went back home first, then we went back gurney plaza as those adults want to shop, my grandpa and grandma dating outside along the beach and me and my cousin went arcade to rock the place. Around 9p.m. my family went back with my grandma as me and my uncle's family went to pick his son in rasa sayang hotel and went back after that. Reach home around 11.30p.m. and all of us watch the movie black sheep at home till 2p.m.

Next morning, as usual we woke up slightly late and reach pokok asam about 8.30a.m. We are just late for 30 minutes compare to Saturday but the "lai fun" are all sold out!!!! DAMN!!! The "lai fun" just too delicious and is favour by everyone. So we decided to go and have our breakfast at the Hainan store; the food there is delicious as well.

After breakfast, my uncle's family went back to KL but the youngest son stay in Taiping, we went back as well around 5p.m. and my sister decided to stay there as well. It took us 2 and half hours to come back to KL and straight headed for dinner at Kepong. We've decided to try out the new korean restaurant name Or-Ju at Kepong. The food there is nice and worth to eat as well. After that we all head back home.

This 3 days trip is really tiring but fun, really had a lot of fun with you guys, my relatives. Looking forward our next trip back to hometown again.. I missed the food there still, well.. I guess holiday is over and now the rushing 3rd semester had finally started. Its time to put the fun aside again, and its time to work hard again as well. Hope I can do well in this semester too ^^
